Botanical Name - Sesbania grandiflora

----- Leaflets 10-30 pairs, oblong, glaucous, 1-1 1/2 in. long. Flowers 2-4, 3 in. long, pink or white, in short racemes. Pod 10-12 in. long, 1/2 in. groad, compressed, tetragonous (four-angled).

----- A short-lived soft-wooded tree, very frequently found in cultivation though not so common as the last species. It is a pretty little tree, noticeable for its large handsome pink flowers and long pods. The wood is not durable. The tender leaves, flowers and pods are eaten as a vegetable and the tree is also often grown as a support for the betel-pepper vine.
